As we discussed before in Google Sandbox, Google doesn’t place value on mini-network including inter-linking websites, which most likely to be hosted on the same IP addresses.
The idea is that you can build multiple inter-linking websites on different IP addresses, so that hopefully search engines would not think that they are operated by the same person. So that the links can be counted genuine, and the linked site get a boost in popularity. The assumption is obviously that search engines will discount non-genuine links if two sites are found to be related (from IP address or WHOIS records). Search engines do that (if the assumption is true) for a reason — webmasters should not game the system to fake popularity. In addition, SEO specialists we would make sure all domains are registered with different registrars under different names. We wouldn’t use the same template on more than one site. We would try to erase all traces that these sites are run by the same person.
In conclusion, building multiple inter-linking websites on different IP addresses will help your websites rankings. If your business is a web design company that hosts several clients’ websites on the same IP address using either virtual private servers or shared servers, definitely, we recommend you to try to build multiple inter-linking websites on different IP addresses. Here is tips for interlinking to keep from setting off alarms with the engines when you are setting up interlinking.

Thanks a lot for giving me such a good knowledge, this article definitely help me for building many inter-linking websites on different IP addresses.
The SEO facilitor of Network Solutioins, Randy Windsor said as follows:
“I have been doing some research regarding your questions about interlinking web sites within the same IP address range. To this point, I cannot find any credible evidence that shows us that having multiple sites that are interlinked on the same IP address range are causing any of the link values to significantly decrease. I have also seen some information that Google will only discount IP address range interlinking when there are upwards of 1,000 or more sites involved.” Hope this information helps. Shane.
How soon will you update your blog? I’m interested in reading some more information on this issue.

I interlinked with multiple site on the same IP and it still boost my ranking. With so many free hosting sites out there it just better to go with separate IP’s because I do feel I’m losing a little link creditability because of it.
