There is a myth of “Google does penalise websites for being hosted on the same IP” regarding search engine optimizaton (SEO) and web hosting.

The answer is that you are safe to host as many sites as you need to on one hosting account. However, if you build inter-linking websites on the same IP address, Google devalue your links. In addition, if the websites don’t carry unique content which is of value, then you will eventually get penalised especially by Google.
